Shared Decision Making – training for all study sites

Shared decision making (SDM) is a process by which people are supported to understand their treatment options and are given the opportunity, together with their doctor, to deliberate using all the relevant information that might influence their choice.

Learning Objectives

  • To understand key concepts related to SDM
  • To stimulate reflection on your current SDM practice  
  • If in the intervention arm, to consider how you will incorporate the OSIRIS decision-aid into your practice ​

Intervention Group Training

The objectives for this course is as follows:

  • To familiarise teams with the OSIRIS decision aid
  • To prepare users to discuss the decision aid forecasts with patients
